(Really need to blog, have a really bad habit of starting up but then just stopping.) Anyway, a few weeks ago I was browsing on digg and had came across an article on Ars Technica about a new Wiki-like site just for biographies. And unlike Wikipedia, you don’t need to be famous at all. I decided to add mine for fun, making it sound like an actual biography: written in 3rd person, sounding somewhat professional, etc. Well it turns out that they look through biographies and see if they are any good, and if they decide they are good enough, they get put on the front page as a Featured Biography!

I had gotten an email from Ethan who had said he liked my biography and that if I added a few connections, he would put me on the front page. I had made a connection to a one sentence biography I made for Chris Meller and added to connections to my mom and dad. Thinking it wasn’t enough, I didn’t respond but then today I get an email saying that I was put on the front page! I feel quite honored to be with Marilyn Monroe and a leader of China who reigned for 27 years!
This post is also a shoutout to Biographicon, which is is an original idea and is implimented very well. It has already gotten some nice exposure, and the people there are nice, so I’m hoping that they keep the good work up and stay around for a while. ![]()
